How to initiate Automation from Hexnode?

Automations in Hexnode UEM streamlines the deployment of operational resources across managed devices. From deploying OS patches and app updates to enforcing policy and app configurations, automations help IT admins ensure the operational integrity of devices. With Hexnode UEM, admins can use the “Initiate Automation” action to remotely deploy pre-configured automations, ensuring smooth execution across managed devices. Here’s how you can initiate these automations directly from the Hexnode UEM console.

Initiating deployments from the Hexnode UEM console

You can initiate automations remotely by following the steps below,

1. Log in to your Hexnode UEM console.
2. Go to the Manage tab and click on the required device.
3. Click on Actions > Deployments > Initiate Automation.
4. Select the automations to apply from the list of configured automations. Enable the option Apply target filters to check whether the selected device meets the target filters configured during automation creation.
5. Then, click on Initiate.

For initiating automations on multiple devices,

1. Go to the Manage tab and select the required devices.
2. Click on Actions > Deployments > Initiate Automation.
3. Select the automations to apply from the list of configured automations.
4. You can choose to configure the following options:
   • Apply target filters: Enabling this option checks whether the respective device meets the target filters configured during automation creation. The automation will be executed only on those devices that meet the target filter conditions.
   • Apply platform: Enabling this option checks whether the respective device meets the target platform condition of automation. The automation will be executed only on those devices that meet the target platform condition.
5. Then, click on Initiate.
