Group Management Functions
Hexnode MDM provides over a dozen remote actions that you can associate to one or more device groups or user groups in one go. Any action applied to a group affects all members associated with that group.

Major Group Management Functions
Listed below are some of the important Group Management Functions offered by Hexnode MDM.
When a user has forgotten the password to unlock a corporate-owned device, the administrator can use this feature to clear the password directly from the Hexnode MDM console.

- Log into your Hexnode MDM portal.
- Head on to Manage tab > select Device Groups/ User Groups.
- Choose the required device/ user group(s).
- Click Manage.
- Click on Clear Password.
This action can be applied to a group of devices when you want to remotely lock the devices associated with that group.

- Log into your Hexnode MDM portal.
- Head on to Manage tab > select Device Groups/ User Groups.
- Choose the required device/ user group(s).
- Click Manage > Lock Device.
- Provide a Message, Phone Number, and System lock PIN to display on the lock screen of devices (each of them is optional).
- Click Continue.
On applying the Wipe Device action to a group, the complete data of the devices associated with that group gets deleted immediately. You can trigger this action to protect devices from data breaches that can arise due to device loss or theft.

- Log into your Hexnode MDM portal.
- Head on to Manage tab > select Device Groups/ User Groups.
- Choose the required device/ user group(s).
- Click Manage > Wipe Device.
- Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.
- Enter the password of your Hexnode MDM portal > click OK to initiate device wipe.
When you apply Disenroll Device action to a group, all the data associated with the devices of that group gets removed from your Hexnode MDM server.

- Log into your Hexnode MDM portal.
- Head on to Manage tab > select Device Groups/ User Groups.
- Choose the required device/ user group(s).
- Click Manage.
- Click on Disenroll Device.
By associating policies with any group(s), you can enforce various configurations and restrictions to the device(s) associated with that group(s).
- Log into your Hexnode MDM portal.
- Head on to Manage tab > select Device Groups/ User Groups.
- Choose the required device/ user group(s).
- Click Manage > Associate Policy.
- Select the policy that needs to be associated.
- Click on Associate.
