Managing Reports in Hexnode MDM

Mobile Device Management reports help in monitoring and analyzing corporate asset information while ensuring data confidentiality within organizations. Hexnode MDM lets you generate a wide range of reports on the go, incorporating the complete device reports and granular reports based on specific actions. With Hexnode, you can generate reports at any time or at a scheduled time. Moreover, you can easily export reports either in the form of PDF or CSV files.

All Devices

A complete list of devices currently enrolled with Hexnode MDM.

Filters:

  1. Enrollment Status: Filter based on whether the device is Enrolled or Pre-Approved.
  2. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  3. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  4. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.
  5. Platform: Filter based on whether the device runs Android, Windows, iOS, MacOS, or TvOS.

Disenrollment pending devices

List of all devices that are selected to be disenrolled from the MDM console, but the policy has not yet reached the device.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Enrolled devices

List of all devices that are successfully enrolled with Hexnode MDM.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.
  4. Platform: Filter based on whether the device runs Android, Windows, iOS, MacOS, or TvOS.

Non-compliant devices

List of all devices that do not meet the corporate compliance requirements.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Inactive devices

List of all devices that have not been scanned for a specified number of days as set up under Admin > General Settings.

Password protected devices

List of all devices that have been password protected.

Filters:

  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Non-encrypted devices

List of all devices that have not been encrypted.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Compliant devices

List of all devices that meet all the compliance requirements.

Smartphones

List of all smartphones enrolled with Hexnode MDM.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Tablets

List of all tablets enrolled with Hexnode MDM.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.

Personal devices

List of all devices that are set as personally-owned during enrollment.

Filters:

Devices missing mandatory apps

List of all devices that have missing mandatory apps.

Filters:

  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Devices with blacklisted apps

List of all devices containing blacklisted apps.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Camera disabled devices

List of all devices that have camera disabled in them.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Recently Enrolled devices

List of all devices that have been enrolled recently.

Filters:

  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Kiosk active devices

List of all devices in which kiosk mode is activated.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Policy free devices

List of all devices that are not associated with any policy.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Active devices

List of all active devices enrolled in the portal.

Filters:

  1. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.

Kiosk enabled devices

List of all devices on which kiosk mode is enabled.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.

Kiosk exited devices

List of all devices which have exited the kiosk lockdown mode.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.

Disenrolled devices

List of all devices that have been disenrolled from the portal.

Filters:

All Users

List of all users managed in Hexnode MDM.

Filters:

  1. User Type: Filter based on whether the user is an Active Directory user, Azure AD user, Google User, or a Local user.
  2. Enrollment Status: Filter based on whether the device is Enrolled or Unenrolled.

Non-compliant Users

List of all users with devices that do not meet compliance requirements.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.

Unenrolled Users

List of all users who are added to Hexnode MDM but has not enrolled any devices yet.

Filter:

  1. User Type: Filter based on whether the user is an Active Directory user, Azure AD user, Google User, or a Local user.

List of all users added through Active Directory.

Filter:

  1. Enrollment Status: Filter based on whether the device is Enrolled or Unenrolled.

Users with no passcode devices

List of all users having devices without a passcode.

Filters:

  1. Device Inactivity: Filter based on whether the device is Active or Inactive.
  2. Type: Filter based on whether the device is a Smartphone or Tablet.
  3. Ownership: Filter based on whether the device is Corporate or Personal.

Users with inactive devices

List of all users having devices that have not been scanned for a specified number of days as mentioned under Admin > General Settings.

List of all device groups and their data usage summary. The report includes the group name, device type, amount of data consumed (both Wi-Fi and Mobile data), total data consumed, and the modified time.

Filter:

  1. Time Range: Filter results based on the time range – Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or set Custom duration by specifying the start and end dates.

Action History

This report gives a complete list of all actions executed on enrolled devices. It gives a complete report on account of all actions taken place in a workstation.

Filters:

  1. Status: Filter results based on the status of actions executed on the devices such as Cancelled, Failed, Initiated, In progress, Pending, Success, etc.
  2. Created time: Filter results based on the created time – Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or set Custom duration by specifying the start and end dates.

Audit History

Audit History gives a detailed overview of all the events taken place on different modules.
Filters:

  1. Event module: Filter results based on the type of module being used, such as Device, Device group, Domain, OU, Policy, System, User, and User group.
  2. Created time: Filter results based on the created time – Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or set Custom duration by specifying the start and end dates.

Scheduled Reports

The Scheduled Reports from Hexnode enables IT admins to receive periodic reports on device events at specific intervals. Admins can also schedule reports to reach the recipients via email rather than notifying them manually. The tabular report contains the date, time, event description, and event name as its attributes.


To create a new scheduled report,

  1. Log into your Hexnode MDM portal
  2. Navigate to Admin > Scheduled Reports
  3. Click on Add New Scheduled Report
  4. Report type: Select the way by which you want to enable a technician to download the report.
    1. Private – Enable this option if you want the technician to be logged into the portal to download the report.
    2. Public – Enable this option if you want the report to be downloaded by anyone with access to the download link. By choosing this option, you can download the report without logging into the portal.
  5. Download link validity: Select the number of months from 1, 2, or 3 for which you wish to keep the download link valid.
  6. Time settings: Specify how frequently you wish to receive the reports.
    1. Daily – Enable this option to generate reports every day.
    2. Weekly – Enable this option to generate reports every week. Specify the day(s) in which you wish to receive the reports.
    3. Monthly – Enable this option to generate reports every month and specify the month(s) in which you wish to receive the reports.
  7. Initiate scan at (Pacific Daylight Time): Specify the time in hour(s) and minute(s) at which the scan is to be performed.
  8. Select report: Select the type of report you wish to receive from the combo box.
  9. Recipient email address(es): Specify the E-mail address of the person to whom the email is to be sent.
  10. Email subject: Specify a subject for the email.
  11. Email body: Specify a body for the email.
  12. Save the details.
