How to disenroll organization from Android Enterprise?

Android Enterprise is an initiative by Google that helps popularize BYOD technology (Bring Your Own Devices) at workplaces. Hexnode UEM integrates with Android Enterprise to let organizations exert complete management control over corporate-owned devices while creating work containers on personal devices. Android Enterprise binds the organization and the UEM to administer the devices by providing various tools and services. It includes pushing app configurations, enforcing enterprise-based restrictions, distributing private apps from Managed Google Play, etc.

Suppose you want to remove all the devices enrolled in the Android Enterprise program integrated with Hexnode or prefer associating another administrator account with the Android Enterprise program. You can do it by disenrolling the organization from the Hexnode UEM console.

Notes:

  • Disenrolling your organization from the Android Enterprise program will remove all the devices enrolled in it. Those devices need to be re-enrolled to continue managing them.
  • If you only intend to change the email address used for configuring Android Enterprise, you need not disenroll the organization from the Android Enterprise program. Instead, you can add a new Owner account on the admin settings page and remove the existing Owner. It re-configures Android Enterprise with the newly created Owner and eliminates the need for device re-enrollments.
  • delete the existing owner from android enterprise program

  • Disenrolling will remove all the configuration settings, app configurations, approved applications, etc., applied to the Android Enterprise enrolled devices.
  • If you intend to remove a single device enrolled in Android Enterprise from the UEM console, opt for device disenrollment.
