Hey, I tried enrolling one of my macOS devices into Hexnode using the portal URL, but I got this error: “Profile-driven enrollment is currently blocked by your organization. Please contact your IT admin for further assistance.” Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello, We’ve been trying to perform a full wipe on some of our Intel-based Macs running Monterey, that’s around 12 and above. These are older machines without the T2 security chip. When we trigger Wipe Device from Hexnode, instead of erasing the machine completely, the device just ends up getting locked with a Find My…
Hola amigos, I’m facing an issue with the Hexnode access policy on my macOS devices. I associated the Hexnode access policy with Google Workspace as the IdP, with the authentication option being “Google workspace domains added to hexnode portal”. We have integrated our Active Directory with Google Workspace. When the password of a local user account user is changed via AD however, the new password cannot be used to login through…
Hello everyone, I recently uploaded the Dropbox PKG installer as an enterprise app to the Hexnode app repository and then tried installing it on a few Macs in my organization. For some reason, it is not being installed properly. I tried re-installing multiple times and also tried re-adding the PKG installer again to the app repository but still had no luck. Can anyone help me with this urgently?
Hey Hexnode, I’ve been trying to push a couple of policies to our macOS devices, and I’m getting the following error. “Device profile policy association is successful. User profile policy association has failed. User token could not be fetched to the server.” It seems like this is happening only on a few devices, not all.…
Hey folks, one of our Macs is showing as non compliant in Hexnode portal, but I can’t figure out why. Everything seems fine, the policies are applied, FileVault’s on, the OS is up to date, and the user is actively using the device. Any ideas?
Hey, I want to enable notifications for the Hexnode agent on all our Macs using the App Notifications policy. The policy requires the app’s bundle ID. Where can I find the bundle ID for the Hexnode agent app?
Hey everyone, I used the rename device action to rename a few of my macOS devices. I even checked the “update friendly name” checkbox. Not only did it not update the device name, but the friendly name is not changing as well, even though I scanned the devices to reflect the changes.
Folks, I’m in bit of a pickle right now. I’ve been trying to deploy a file into my macOS devices at the workplace using the Deploy custom configuration feature through Hexnode. But it seems I am unable to upload the file which in .txt and .csv formats. So, anyone got an idea how to get out of this?
Hello, Thanks for the deployment walkthrough on Windows devices. It was really insightful. Our teams were wondering if you could help us with the macOS deployment too. Thanks in advance.
We’ve set a 5-minute screen lock policy on all our macOS devices through Hexnode. It works perfectly, and devices lock themselves after inactivity just like they’re supposed to. But our Vanta compliance dashboard still insists that “Screen lock is not enabled.” Not sure what we’re missing here, has anyone run into this before?
The UEM application App Catalog is aware of the software being installed, and is aware of the current version of software. It would be nice if there was a button that could be clicked in the App Catalog that would allow you to update the software. I spoke with support today and their recommendation was…
I see a possible report for Bitlocker, but it would be incredibly helpful to know which macs have Filevault enabled and the status of the encryption key (Is it is the cloud, or "Unable to fetch the recovery key" errors.
Hello Hexnode Team, It's been a pleasure to be Hexnode customer and I'm currently using Hexnode on a daily basis to manage our MacOS devices in our environment. I have been noticed that Microsoft has released a preview of platform SSO on MacOS for Intune & EntraID. I was wondering if Hexnode is having a…
As an admin user, I'd like Hexnode Access to streamline the number of login authentications when logging into a device. When using Hexnode Access currently, a user has to authenticate multiple times to get into their workstation. On macOS with FileVault enabled, it's three times: drive decryption login, local user login, Google/M365 login. This…
Hello, It would be nice to have a policy to limit the number of registered devices for users. For example, I would only like to limit 1 macbook per user. This way the user is not able to register another device until we remove them as owner of their current device.
Hey Team, Can an option to run a script be added while enrolling via DEP Configuration Profile like we have the option to create a user?
Dear Team, A slack integration could be really useful for generating alerts. All alerts and notifications can be easily notified to a channel or an IT admin.Saves the time to check emails or Hexnode dashboard. Cheers Ceetus
Integrate Google Workspace with Hexnode so we can use our Google Credentials to login to the Mac OS devices.
It would be great to have a terminal / remote desktop for mac to directly control the user device. Because have a little troublesome when using Custom Script to fix/install software for user.
It would be really nice to have a progress bar for the macOS App Catalog. So when i click on the desired App i can see the installation progress and also a confirmation once it is done. Just like the Managed Software Update application for Munki. Also the "installed" banner is not really appealing.
Will there be changes to reflect the new profile customizations in Mojave, Catalina, and Big Sur in policies? Will there be a roadmap to be able to import custom profile configurations in to a policy so that we can further lock down and customize the look and feel to the end user?
Hi, We would like to have Terminal feature in Hexnode portal. So we could able to monitor devices deployed remotely. e.g. Running logcat command to check device/app performance, manage files in storage, etc. Thanks
