Restrict printer sharing

Hi everyone, we’re trying to restrict printer sharing on our macOS devices. Our concern is that employees shouldn’t be able to share printers with other devices on the network. Most of our users have local administrator rights on their Macs, so we’re unsure if this restriction can still be enforced through Hexnode UEM. Has anyone handled this before?

Managed Macs not appearing in AirDrop discovery

Hi all, I’m hitting a wall with our managed macOS fleet. We use Hexnode to manage about 50 MacBook Pros. I’ve confirmed that AirDrop is enabled in the Advanced Restrictions section of our policy, but for some reason, these Macs cannot receive files.  My users can send files from their managed Macs to unmanaged devices perfectly fine, but the managed Macs never show up as an available…

Can’t seem to block the Perplexity Comet app on Windows devices

Hey folks, I’ve been trying to block the Perplexity Comet app through Hexnode using the usual method to add the app under the blocklist with its publisher name and all. But the app still launches without any issues. I’ve double-checked the spelling and package details, and everything seems fine. Has anyone else run into this?

Media management policy error in Windows

I’ve been trying to associate a policy for media management to secure my Windows devices. I needed to restrict the use of external media such as USBs and CDs, so I disabled the Allow use of all external media option in the media management policy. The policy applied successfully on most devices, but on a few, it failed. Has anyone else come across this?
