Hey folks, one of our Macs is showing as non compliant in Hexnode portal, but I can’t figure out why. Everything seems fine, the policies are applied, FileVault’s on, the OS is up to date, and the user is actively using the device. Any ideas?
Hey everyone, Quick one, we have Android demo phones deployed in a big mall. They’re tethered to security tags, so we don’t want any passcode or password set (staff need quick access for demos). But the devices keep showing “Device not compliant”. Is there a way to exempt these demo devices from the compliance policy…
We’ve set a 5-minute screen lock policy on all our macOS devices through Hexnode. It works perfectly, and devices lock themselves after inactivity just like they’re supposed to. But our Vanta compliance dashboard still insists that “Screen lock is not enabled.” Not sure what we’re missing here, has anyone run into this before?
Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on Digital Twins lately, and I’m wondering if they actually have a place in cybersecurity. The times are evolving, we’ve got increasing threats, insider risks, and constantly changing attack surfaces. In theory, having a “virtual replica” of our IT ecosystem sounds great, like running simulations before actual breaches occur.…
Hey guys, We’re running into a small issue with one of our geofencing automations in Hexnode. We’ve got a manufacturing setup where devices are geofenced around the plant premises. The automation works like this, when a device moves out of the geofence, it turns non-compliant and Lost Mode gets enabled. Once the device comes back…
Hey Community, I’m an IT admin and new to Hexnode. I am currently exploring how to configure devices so that their compliance status can be determined based on some conditions. I’ve noticed that it could be configured through the Policies section in Hexnode UEM. If I could just get a bit of insight on it…thanks in advance!
Hey, I’m thinking of the ways in which an administrator can be alerted based on device conditions? For example, what kind of conditions could trigger an alert, and how would that be set up?
Hey everyone, quick question. We have a couple of devices that were previously used by an ex-employee. Nobody has touched them for a while, so I was wondering if there is any way to mark a device as inactive in Hexnode. It would help me keep things tidy.
The CIS Benchmarks define best practices for securing systems and enhancing regulatory compliance. These guidelines span a variety of system configurations from passcodes and security settings to software updates and device restrictions, all designed to strengthen your device’s security posture. Hexnode introduced a CIS policy template for Windows to support partial compliance with these standards.…
As an admin user, I'd like the ability to control Windows firewall settings by policy instead of through scripts so that we can automate and standardize our firewall settings.
i think if you could add a fix compliance option that would be awesome, for example an action option to "install missing profiles" to all selected devices. "install all missing apps"
