Devices flagged non‑compliant under default compliance policy

Hi all, I am seeing a compliance warning on my devices. It is related to the “Default Android Compliance policy”, but I never added that. The only thing I have configured is a geo‑fencing policy, and the devices are inside the office range. Why are they showing as non‑compliant?

Why are people suddenly talking about continuous posture management?

I keep hearing the term continuous posture management in security discussions, but I’m not fully getting it. We already have baseline security policies and periodic checks. Isn’t that enough? Why does this need to be “continuous”?

Non-compliance issue in app installation

Hey Hexnode Community, I've got an enrolled device flagged as Non-Compliant, and I think the issue seems to be with one of the Required Apps policy I pushed out. The app is definitely installed on the device, so I'm confused about why the compliance check is failing. Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I can do to clear this compliance status?

Investigating device's non-compliant status

Hey folks, one of our Macs is showing as non compliant in Hexnode portal, but I can’t figure out why. Everything seems fine, the policies are applied, FileVault’s on, the OS is up to date, and the user is actively using the device. Any ideas?

Need to keep Android demo phones passcode-free, but compliance says no

Hey everyone, Quick one, we have Android demo phones deployed in a big mall. They’re tethered to security tags, so we don’t want any passcode or password set (staff need quick access for demos). Vanta says my screen lock isn’t enabled… but it is!

We’ve set a 5-minute screen lock policy on all our macOS devices through Hexnode. It works perfectly, and devices lock themselves after inactivity just like they’re supposed to. But our Vanta compliance dashboard still insists that “Screen lock is not enabled.” Not sure what we’re missing here, has anyone run into this before?

Windows Firewall policies

As an admin user, I'd like the ability to control Windows firewall settings by policy instead of through scripts so that we can automate and standardize our firewall settings.
