We’ve been manually deploying OS updates across our devices, but it’s getting harder to manage as we scale. Came across zero-touch OS updates, are they actually better, or is manual still the safer option?
Hey everyone, we manage a fleet of Macs using Hexnode UEM, and we try to keep updates under control, so users don’t get interrupted while working. Most of our employees have critical work running on their machines, so sudden restarts are a real problem. We prefer manual update installation and want to avoid automatic restarts. Ideally, updates should install only when…
Introducing the Templates subtab under the Automate tab—your new hub for one-click, expert-level automation. We're kicking things off with the highly requested workflow: Upgrade to Windows 11. We know that transitioning an entire organization to a new Windows OS version can feel like a high-wire act, but we’re here to give you a safety net. Upgrade to Windows 11 without the complexity OS updates are often slowed down by custom scripting, inconsistent…
Hey folks! I keep hearing about phased deployments in device management. Can someone explain what phased deployment actually means in a practical sense?
Serious question for people managing large fleets. Everyone talks about automated vulnerability remediation like it’s the end of patch panic forever. Detect CVEs, auto-fix, move on. Sounds great on slides. But once you cross, say, 40k or 50k devices, does this actually hold up? Between OS patch delays, app dependencies, reboot timing, and users being users… I’m struggling to picture automation…
We are managing a fleet of Windows devices in an enterprise environment and would like to standardize all systems on a specific Windows OS build. The goal is to ensure devices upgrade to a defined OS version within a 30-day window for compliance and stability reasons. While exploring the Hexnode console, we were unsure where…
Hi everyone, We’re managing Android tablets with Hexnode and currently have a 30-day OS update postponement policy applied. A couple of things we’re trying to understand: Is there any way to see which devices have OS updates pending or how many days are left in the postponement period? What actually happens once the postponement period ends? Do updates automatically become…
Hey everyone, I’m hitting a wall with our bandwidth. We’ve got a bunch of Windows 11 endpoints across five branch offices. Every 'Patch Tuesday,' our WAN links just crawl because every single machine tries to pull a 4GB Cumulative Update from Microsoft at the same time. I’m using an MDM solution to manage them, and I’m wondering: Is there a way to push a script or a policy…

I'd like to suggest a custom log function on every device. The log should be used to keep track of the actions on the IT-support. Example: 2022-09-13 14:40: User was asked to update device OS 2022-07-03 09:13: Device had new screen installed after user dropped device from desktop 2021-01-10 13:04: Device had faulty charger, replaced…
