Issues with Android in Kiosk Mode and NFC Badge Reader

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 in kiosk mode with an enterprise application. The app requires login via an NFC badge. However, NFC stops working when the device goes into sleep mode. Also, when switching between apps, the NFC badge reader fails to work with the intended app. Could anyone provide a solution?

Use keyboard for Android Remote Control
