How to enable Camera and Gallery in Kiosk Mode?

Hello! I’m setting up a fleet of Android tablets for a check-in station. I have the devices locked down, but I can't figure out how to make the installed camera and gallery apps available while in kiosk mode. Every time my main app tries to open the camera, it just hangs. Any help would be appreciated!
