Moving physical SIMs to eSIM via Hexnode: What’s possible?Solved

Hey everyone, quick question. We’re trying to move a bunch of our iPhones from physical SIM cards over to eSIMs to make things easier to manage. Can I just use Hexnode to ‘assign’ the phone number from the physical card to the eSIM, or is there more to it?

Hey, @arthur the short answer is: Hexnode handles the “setup,” but your carrier handles the “switch.”

Basically, you can use Hexnode to push the eSIM configuration profile to your iPhones remotely (so you don’t have to manually touch every device), but Hexnode itself can’t activate the eSIM as it requires communication with  the cell towers to transfer the phone number.

Check out the eSIM configuration guide for the technical steps on the UEside.

Hope that clears up the confusion! Let me know if you need help finding where that setting is in the portal.
