I’m trying to enforce automatic screen lock on my Windows devices. Is there any way to do this across devices through Hexnode?

@arthur , yes, you can do this by associating a password policy for your Windows devices through Hexnode UEMWhile configuring the policy, you can configure the Auto-lock option where you can set the period of inactivity after which the device will be automatically locked.

@kylian_parker , unfortunately, that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m facing issues with network accounts, so we are looking for an option that doesn’t involve setting up password policies.

@arthur , for enabling the auto-lock ability for a device through Hexnode it is imperative that a password policy be enforced on the devices. However, if you wish to simply push the device into sleep mode instead of locking it, you can configure the Power feature under PoliciesThis way you can force the device to go into sleep mode after a certain time of inactivity. Here’s how to do it,

  1. Log in to your Hexnode portal.

  1. Go to Policies > New Policy.

  1. Select Windows as the platform.

  1. Then go to Configurations > Power, and click Configure.

  1. Here, under Restrictions, you can find the option Unattended Sleep afterwhere you can set the period of inactivity after which the device will go to sleep.

  1. Then, simply choose the target devices and save the policy.
