Hi all, does Hexnode block Zoom on macOS? One of my users says they can’t open the app.

Hello @lucaas ,

Yes, the Zoom app can be blocked on macOS devices using the Blocklist feature.

There’s no such policy associated with the device.

Got it. Could you confirm two things for us:

  1. Is the user completely unable to access or open the Zoom app?
  2. Was the app installed manually, or was it deployed via Hexnode?

Yes, they can’t open it. The app was installed manually by the user.

Thanks for clarifying. Since there aren’t any restrictions configured for the Zoom app in Hexnode UEM, it isn’t blocking access. Because the app was manually installed from an external source, it is possible that the file may be corrupted, preventing it from launching.

We recommend downloading the latest version of Zoom directly from the official site and reinstalling it. That should resolve the issue.
