Hey all, need some help. I tried activating a Mac using the Activation Lock bypass code from Hexnode, but macOS keeps saying the code is wrong.

Hey, @noor_k ! How was the Mac enrolled (ABM or manual), is it erased and stuck at Activation Lock now, and is it still checking into Hexnode?

@kylian_parker , I used manual enrollment, and not ABM. And, yes, the device was erased and is now on the Activation Lock screen.
It has internet, but in Hexnode I only see “Mark as disenrolled”, no scan or actions.

@noor_k , that’s likely the issue.
Since the device wasn’t enrolled through ABM and it’s not checking into Hexnode anymore, the portal can’t really help here. Also, if the bypass code changed, the old one will always fail.
You’ll need to contact Apple Support with proof of purchase to remove Activation Lock. After that, add the Mac to ABM before enrolling again so this doesn’t happen next time.
