Hi all!

I recently tried enrolling some of my employees’ iOS devices into Hexnode UEM using Account driven user enrollment, but they keep getting an error message saying: “Your apple account doesn’t support the expected services on this device.” Does anyone know why this happens?

Hi @isaiah . Have you checked the OS versions? That error can appear if the devices are running older OS versions. Account driven user enrollment is supported only on iOS 15 or later, so if any of the devices are below that, the enrollment might fail.

Thanks for the quick response @josiah !
I checked the OS versions. All devices are on supported versions. But still getting the same error.

Hey @josiah , you might want to check the server configuration. When setting up the enrollment server, make sure that the Content-Type header field in the HTTP response is set to application/json. If that header isn’t correctly configured, the device may fail to communicate properly during enrollment.

Jumping in here!
Hey @josiah , you might also want to cross-check your Hexnode UEM and Managed Apple Account domain configurations.

I faced the same issue recently. Turned out I had selected Device Enrollment in Hexnode but User Enrollment in the Managed Apple Account domain by mistake. That mismatch triggered the same error message during enrollment. Once I corrected it, everything worked smoothly.
