Hey folks,

I’m managing a bunch of Lenovo tablets on Android 14. I added a web app in Kiosk mode using Hexnode Browser Lite, but there’s this annoying white bar showing at the top. Tried the Hexnode Kiosk Browser too, but same issue. What is this white bar anyway?

I’ve got a few devices on Android 13 with the same setup, and I don’t see that white bar. Feels like it’s an Android 14 thing.

Yeah, sounds like the system bar. In the Android Kiosk > peripheral settings, there’s an option to hide the system bar. You could try that. If not, then yeah, probably just an Android 14 bug.

I pushed that setting, but nothing changed.

Oh wait, my bad. That option only works on rooted devices. If your tablet is enrolled as device owner, you can turn on Lock task mode and that should do the trick.

Mine’s just a normal generic enrollment. So I’d have to re-enroll as device owner?

Yeah. Generic enrollment is deprecated by android anyway, so a lot of features don’t work with it anymore.

Got it. I’ll give that a shot, thanks!
