Hey folks, I am experiencing enrollment failures on iOS 26 devices. Every time I try to enroll them through Apple Configurator, I get this message “Configuring iPhone – Enrollment failed. Please try again.” Has anyone else come across this?

Hey @aitana , you might want to try enrolling with a fresh Blueprint in Apple Configurator. Sometimes enrollment fails if the existing blueprint has some configuration errors.
We’ve been hitting the same issue when trying to enroll devices on iOS 26.
From what we’ve noticed, it doesn’t seem to be an MDM config issue. It’s more like something new in Setup Assistant that’s interfering with the enrollment flow.
Exactly. We noticed this happening across several devices in our tests, definitely not an isolated case! Turns out it happens when restoring from iCloud backup during setup.
If you choose “Don’t Transfer Anything” instead of “From iCloud Backup,” the device enrolls without any problems.
Our guess: iCloud backups carry traces of the old device’s management data, so when iOS tries to apply a new MDM profile, it just rejects it.
Ah, that makes perfect sense! We thought it was Apple Configurator acting up, but it’s really that data transfer step causing the failure.
For now, we’re instructing users to skip the transfer option during setup and restore their data only after enrollment completes.
