I recently disenrolled my personal iPad from Hexnode. The management profile is gone from Settings, but the Hexnode app and corporate apps are still on the device. When I try to uninstall them, I get an “Uninstall not allowed” error. How can I remove these apps?

Hello @finn ,

Could you confirm if the device previously had any Required Apps policy associated? Also, is Activation Lock enabled on the device? In most cases, a factory reset would clear residual restrictions and allow you to remove the apps.

Yes, the device had a required apps policy before disenrollment and i found out that the “Remove apps from the device on policy removal” option was disabled. The portal shows the device removed from the Manage tab. The device is unlocked, not Activation Lock protected, and the Apple ID is personal. I cant do the factory reset because I have personal data on the device.

It sounds like the apps might still be tied to the old required apps policy. Even though the device is disenrolled, the uninstall restriction could remain.

Thank you for clarifying. Since a factory reset is not possible, could you please try removing the Apple account from the device temporarily. This could help clear residual restrictions and allow the apps to be uninstalled.

Please try it out and let us know.
