Remote access to devices locked in Kiosk Mode?Solved

Hi everyone,

We are currently deploying a fleet of devices locked down in single-app Kiosk Mode for digital signage across our retail locations.

Our IT team needs to be able to remotely access and control these devices for regular maintenance and troubleshooting. However, since there is no actual user manning these kiosks, no one is physically there to accept an incoming remote session prompt or interact with an app.

How can we set up our policies so that our IT admins can initiate a remote session into these kiosk devices silently, without requiring any physical interaction on the device end?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

For your digital signage use case, the feature you are looking for is Unattended Remote Access.

This feature is built specifically for scenarios where devices are unattended. By configuring this in your policies, your IT team will be able to initiate remote view and control sessions instantly from the Hexnode portal, entirely bypassing the need for end-user prompts or on-device approvals.

Hexnode currently supports Unattended Remote Access for Windows, Android, and macOS.

You can find the step-by-step setup guides for your specific deployment here:

Hope this points you in the right direction! Let us know if you need any further assistance with the configuration.

Best regards,
George
