Photo sharing not working in Android Kiosk modeSolved

This usually happens when some of the system or app packages needed for sharing are blocked in kiosk mode. When those packages are blocked, Android cannot complete the share action and sends the user back to the home screen.

To check this:

1. Go to Manage > Devices.
2. Select the affected device.
3. Open the Applications sub-tab.
4. Look for any entries under Blocked Packages.

If you see any blocked packages:

• Add them using Add with Bundle ID.
• Then, allow them as Background Applications in the kiosk policy.

Okay, but how do I add app packages using Bundle ID?

Here’s how you can do that:

First, add the package to the Hexnode app inventory :

1. Go to the Apps tab.
2. Click Add App.
3. Choose Add with Bundle ID.
4. Enter the App Name, Bundle ID, Category, and click Save.

Next, allow it to run in kiosk mode:

1. Go to Policies.
2. Select the policy applied to the device.
3. Click Manage > Modify.
4. Go to Android Kiosk Settings > Background Apps.
5. Click Add.
6. Search for the package you just added under Local Apps.
7. Select it and save.
8. Save the policy.

Sync the device and try sharing the photo again.
