I have a concern regarding password policies in Hexnode. What happens if a user attempts to manually change the password on a device that already has a password policy associated with it?
Will there be any conflict between the enforced policy and the user’s action?

From what I understand, the password policy should take precedence. If a user tries to change their password, the new password must comply with the policy.
That’s what I assumed as well, but I want to confirm before sending these devices out. What happens if we tighten the password policy after users have already set their passwords? Will users be forced to change their password immediately?
That depends on how the policy is configured. If “change password at next login” is enabled, users will be required to update their password during their next sign-in.
Adding to this, what if an admin resets the device password remotely via Hexnode while a password policy is active? Does the admin-set password also have to comply with the policy?
Yes, in most cases, administrative actions must still comply with the active password policy. The system won’t allow settings that violate compliance rules.
