Hi everyone. I’m looking for some advice on managing our fleet of Zebra and Honeywell ruggedized devices once they’re out on the warehouse floor. We’re having some trouble with staff changing device settings, which keeps disrupting our operations. Also, if a device runs into issues in another state, is there a way to manage and fix it through Hexnode without having to send someone out there?

@schyler-scott , to prevent the unauthorized alteration of device settings on the warehouse floor, a Kiosk Mode policy should be established within the Hexnode console. This ensures that handheld devices are restricted to essential enterprise applications, thereby securing the system settings menu.
In the event of operational issues, Remote View/Control session may be utilized. Through this connection, the device screen can be remotely viewed and controlled from the Hexnode UEM portal, regardless of the physical proximity of the hardware. This functionality is implemented to facilitate immediate troubleshooting within remote distribution centers, ensuring that downtime is minimized.

@elle_reed , that would definitely save us a lot of travel time. One more thing, though – we’re looking at 10,000 units and have a pretty small team. Is there a way to get these set up through Hexnode without having to manually touch every single box?

@schyler-scott , “Out-of-the-box” setup is simplified through the use of Android Enterprise Zero-Touch or QR code enrollment. Once the device is turned on, a connection to the office Wi-Fi is automatically made, and all necessary work apps and Kiosk settings are installed silently by Hexnode.
