Hello everyone, I want to add a website that is frequently used in our organization as a shortcut link on the Home page in the Android devices we use. Is there any way to do it via Policies in Hexnode UEM?

@eduardo , you can add shortcut links as Web Apps to the Hexnode App Repository so that it can be added to the target devices via policy. Navigate to the Apps tab and then to the Local Apps section. Click on +Add Apps > Managed Google Apps. On the Managed Google Play Store pop-window, go to the Web Apps tab from the navigation menu. Click on the + sign at the bottom right to create a new web app. On the next screen, add your URL, give a title, upload an icon and choose a display style and click Create to add your Web App to the Managed Google Play Store. Further, deploy the app through the Required Apps policy. Go to Policies and click on the New Policy button. On the Create New Policy pop-up screen, click on New Policy > Android > Next > Enterprise > Next and then go to Required Apps policy under App Management in the sidebar. Add your web app from the Managed Store Apps list and apply the policy to your devices. The web app is then added to the Home Screen of your devices.

@elle_reed , I tried adding the URL as a web app under the Local apps but then it does not show up under the Apps list when I am trying to add it to the Required Apps policy – What am I doing wrong here?

@eduardo ,the URL must be added as a Web App under Managed Google Apps and not as a normal Web App for it to reflect in the Apps list under Required Apps policy.

Oh, thats what was going wrong! I tried adding the URL as a Managed Google App to Hexnode and now it works. Thank you so much,  @elle_reed.
