Hi team! Quick question: Is there any way to deploy a .bat file through the Hexnode Store or the Local Store? I’ve got a script I need to push out to a group of Windows devices and I’m looking for the best way to do it.

Deploying BAT files? Living life on the edge, I see! Just make sure your script doesn’t accidentally trigger a self-destruct sequence or delete the “System32” folder for fun. My last attempt at a “simple” script basically turned my laptop into a very expensive paperweight for an hour.

To answer your question, while the Store is typically for app packages, Hexnode provides two very effective ways to deploy .bat scripts depending on your needs:

For Policy-Based Deployment (Automated): If you want the script to be part of a standard setup, navigate to Policies > Windows > Configuration > Scripts. Here, you can upload your file and target specific groups.

For a One-Time Action (Manual): If you just need to run it once on a specific device, use the Execute Custom Script action.

Go to the Manage tab.

Select your Devices.

Click on the specific device name.

Go to Actions > Execute Custom Script (or find it under the Deployment sub-tab).
