Hi, I’m facing an issue with Hexnode UEM Access on our Windows devices. Users are being prompted to connect to the internet every time they try to log in.

Is there a way to disable this requirement? Alternatively, can we extend the duration for how long a device can stay offline before it forces a network login?

This behavior is typically linked to the offline access configuration within the Hexnode Access policy.

To allow users to log in without requiring an active internet connection, you’ll need to review the Limit Offline Access setting in your policy:

  • If Limit Offline Access is enabled, users will be required to authenticate via the network after a certain period.

  • If you want to remove this restriction, disable the “Limit Offline Access” option in the policy.

This ensures that users can continue signing in to their Windows devices even when they are offline.

Before rolling this out across your organization, it’s recommended to:

  • Clone the existing policy from the Policies tab

  • Test the updated configuration on a single device

  • Validate the login behavior in an offline scenario

Once confirmed, you can safely deploy the policy to the rest of your devices.

Got it, that makes sense. I’ll try disabling the option and test it on a device before pushing it out. Thanks!
