Can we prevent the devices from sending the diagnostic data to Microsoft?

Yes, you can.
- Please navigate to Windows-> Restrictions-> Allow Device Functionality.
- Under ‘Allow Device Functionality’, you will find the option ‘Telemetry’.
- Telemetry collects diagnostic data from a Windows device and sends them to Microsoft.
- Click on the drop-down list next to the option ‘Telemetry’. You will be able to find different options: Disallow, Limited, Allow.
- Disallow: If you choose this, the off option will be checked in the device.
- Limited: On choosing Limited, users can send only basic data to Microsoft.
- The allowed option is the default choice. This sends the diagnostic data to Microsoft.
Please choose the option based on your requirements. Note to associate targets and save the policy.
