Hey everyone, I wanted help with something. I wanted to add the Honeywell OEMConfig APK to hexnode and configure the device scanner settings using a custom XML that I have created. We have a few Honeywell devices in our factories, you see. Any ideas on how to do it using Hexnode?
Can I upload the Honeywell OEMConfig APK to Hexnode?Solved

Hello @mike_johnson ! You can configure your Honeywell devices directly through Hexnode using the Honeywell UEMConnect app, which acts as their OEMConfig tool. You don’t require the APK. You can manage the configuration through the App Configurations policy. Here is the way to set it up:
- Create the Policy: Navigate to the Policies tab and start a new Android policy (New Policy > Android > Enterprise).
- Locate App Configurations: Under the App Management section, find the sub-policy.
- Add the Configuration: Click the +Add new configuration button. Search for and select the Honeywell UEMConnect app.
- Inject your XML: Look for the Configuration Snippet Setting. Here, you can add your XML content. Be sure to specify the local file path on the device where the XML resides.
- Deploy: Save the policy and assign it to your Policy Targets.
Once the policy hits the devices, Hexnode will automatically push those settings to the Honeywell app for you.
You can utilize the File Management policy for Android to move the XML file to the devices.

But @elle_reed I cannot find the app (Was the name Honeywell UEMConnect?) when I search for it to add the App configurations. Am I missing something here?
@mike_johnson , You need to add the Honeywell UEMConnect app to the Hexnode App Repository as a Managed Google App to be able to obtain it in the App Configurations policy during search.
Navigate to the Apps tab and click on +Add Apps > Managed Google App. Search for Honeywell UEMConnect app and click on Select to add the app to the Hexnode App Repository. If you proceed to configure the App Configurations policy following this, the Honeywell UEMConnect app will be available for configuration.
Oh okay, got it.
