Hi team, whenever I try to disenroll or delete devices in Hexnode, I’m stuck waiting for those email verification codes. It’s slowing me down and honestly getting frustrated. Is there any way to disable two‑factor authentication (2FA) for these actions?

Can 2FA be disabled for device deletion?Solved

As far as I know, 2FA can’t be disabled at all in Hexnode, especially for things like device deletion.
Thanks for reaching out.
It is not possible to disable 2FA for critical actions like device deletion. This safeguard is built into Hexnode UEM to prevent unauthorized or accidental actions that could impact device security.
If you’d like smoother authentication for these actions, I recommend using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator instead of relying on email codes. You can configure this by enabling the option “Ask this user to set up Third Party Authenticator” under Admin > Technicians and Roles when creating or editing a technician account.
Once configured, the technician can authenticate critical actions using the app‑generated codes.

Oh, I didn’t know about that authenticator app option.
That’s exactly what I was looking for. I’ll go ahead and configure the third‑party authenticator for my technicians.
Thanks, @simon_scott .
