Hey all! We’ve already rolled out Android Enterprise with Work Profile through Hexnode, so work and personal apps are separated.
Now we’re looking at tightening things further, specifically preventing users from copying data from work apps into personal apps.
I noticed there’s a restriction under advanced settings for clipboard sharing. Has anyone implemented this? How effective is it in day-to-day use?

Glad you brought this up. I’m planning the same for our setup. I saw the “copy contents between normal and work profiles” option under Advanced Restrictions, but I wasn’t sure how it impacts users practically.
Would like to know if it’s too restrictive or manageable.
We’ve had this enabled for a few months now. Before turning it off, users could easily copy data from work apps into personal apps, especially messaging and email. That was a big concern for us.
Once we disabled this option, that path was completely blocked. Data stays within the Work Profile now.
Same here. It works exactly as expected, but it is strict. It blocks copy and paste both ways, not just work to personal. So, users also can’t bring anything from personal apps into work apps.
Didn’t cause major issues for us, but something to be aware of depending on your use case.

Did you guys see any pushback from users after enabling it?
A bit initially, mostly from teams used to quick sharing. But since work apps can still share data inside the Work Profile, most workflows were not really affected. It was more about adjusting habits.
One tip, test it with a small group first.
We did a phased rollout and also made sure all required apps were inside the Work Profile. If something sits outside, users might think the restriction is broken or inconsistent.
