Activation lock disrupting enrollmentSolved

Hi everyone, I was enrolling an iPhone into Hexnode and suddenly got stuck with Activation Lock. It’s asking for Apple Business Manager (ABM) credentials. Has anyone faced this before?

I think Activation Lock pops up because the device is not in ABM.

Hey @bram

Could you first check if the device is listed in your ABM portal? If it is, you can resolve the issue by disabling Activation Lock from there. Locate the device in ABM, toggle off Activation Lock, then restart the iPhone and make sure it connects to Wi‑Fi, so the configurations can get updated. Once that’s done, enrollment should proceed successfully.

I checked and confirmed the device is indeed in ABM then I did exactly as you said and it worked!

Ah, now I get it. I thought Activation Lock pops up only when the device isn’t in ABM.
