Hi everyone, I issued a Wipe device action to one of our managed devices, but the action has been stuck in “Pending” for quite some time.
The device hasn’t been wiped yet. Is the portal lagging or am I missing something?

Hi @sammyy , thanks for reaching out to us! In Hexnode UEM, a Wipe action will be “Pending” until the device successfully communicates with the Hexnode portal. This is an expected behavior if the device hasn’t checked in recently.
Could you please ensure that the device is actively checking in with the portal. You can verify this by navigating to Manage > Devices > Click the specified device and check the Last Check-in Time.

Regards,
Clara sterling,
Hexnode UEM.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just checked the Last Check-in was actually 45 minutes ago. Although the device is powered on.

Thanks for checking that.
If the device is powered on but hasn’t checked in recently, I recommend you to manually trigger a device communication.

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Click on the specified device.
  3. Select Actions > Scan Device.

This action triggers the Hexnode UEM portal to communicate with the device, and the pending “Wipe device” action will be executed automatically.

After initiating the scan, please monitor the “Action History” status.

Regards,
Clara sterling,
Hexnode UEM.

Understood. The “Wipe device” action status is Success. Thanks for the clear explanation!
