Reset from BIOS, now the devices are ghosting the consoleSolved

We had to factory reset a batch of Android devices directly from BIOS. The reset worked; devices are clean, but now the Hexnode portal is a different story.

Every time we try to disenroll them, they just sit there in an enrolled state like nothing happened. We’re kind of stuck because they won’t fully clear out the portal.

Before we start guessing our way through the console, can someone from Hexnode point us in the right direction on how to clean this up properly?

Hello @boris ,

Thank you for reaching out. Before explaining how to remove those devices from the portal, please remember that when factory resetting a device in any way, it’s best to disenroll it first and then perform the reset. Otherwise, the device may get stuck in a disenrollment loop since communication is lost after the reset.

To remove the devices from the portal, navigate to Reports > Device Reports > Disenrollment Pending Devices, select the affected devices, and then choose Actions > Mark as Disenrolled. We recommend using this option only if the devices are lost or already reset.

Please let us know if you need any further help.

Cheers,

John Cooper
