Hey all, we have a bunch of Lenovo tablets that need to stay plugged into the charger at all times in kiosks, but then the “battery protection mode” keeps hindering with the charging! I keep disabling the battery protection mode, but then the battery protection keeps enabling back itself. Is there any workaround for this?

@porter , the same issue has occurred for me. It seems it is after the latest software update that the battery protection mode keeps enabling automatically, even when disabled.
@mortimer is it? It is quite annoying as the device not charging always puts Alexa to sleep instead of standing by.
@porter ,I think it is not a wise option to disable battery protection mode for your devices. This mode is essentially designed so that even if you do forget to unplug your device from the charger, the battery doesn’t swell up due to overcharging. In your case, if the battery does swell up, it could mean a fire hazard in your Kiosk area. So, I would say, prevention is better than cure, that is, having battery protection mode on is better than having it off.
@monty , now that you say it, I might be sabotaging my assets rather than optimizing it now. Maybe I should find some other workaround for Alexa besides leaving my devices plugged in.
@porter , maybe use some third-party apps that can make the screen stay awake all the time so that Alexa is up and ready always?
