Hey folks! I have a quick question; can I delete a device group that I created myself?

Hi @alice_grey ! Yes, you can delete self-made groups.

  1. Login to your Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Go to the Manage tab and click on Device Groups.
  3. Select the group to be deleted.
  4. Click on the Actions drop down and select Group & Domains > Delete Group.
  5. Confirm your action to complete the deletion.

Once deleted, the group will be removed from your portal. You can always recreate it later if needed.

Good to know. I always forget where the delete option is.

Thanks for the steps, @isabel_lora. Just to confirm, if I delete a group, will the devices in that group be removed from the portal?

No @ryanmoore , the devices stay in the portal. Only the group itself is deleted.

Alright. And what happens to any policies that were attached to that group?

The policies remain in the portal. Only the association between the group and the policies is removed.

That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!
