DEP sync fails “Your organization is yet to accept the latest terms and conditions”Solved

Hey, has anyone else been running into this issue recently?

We’ve been getting an email that says:

DEP Sync Failed

Hi, We could not sync the DEP account, [account name]. The latest sync at 00:03:01 has failed since your organization is yet to accept the latest terms and conditions of the Apple DEP program. Please accept the latest terms and conditions before trying again.

I’ve logged into Apple Business Manager (ABM) and don’t see any new terms and conditions. Any ideas what’s causing this or what else to check?

Hey,

Thanks you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

The issue you are facing is something that can happen from time to time when Apple updates its terms and conditions for the Device Enrollment Program.

The message you’re seeing — “Your organization is yet to accept the latest terms and conditions of the Apple DEP program”, usually means that someone with the admin privileges needs to log in to Apple Business Manager and accept Apple’s latest agreement.

When you or another admin logs in to ABM, you should see a pop-up prompt asking you to review and accept the new terms. Once accepted, the DEP sync with Hexnode will automatically resume during the next scheduled sync.

If another technician in your organization has already accepted the terms, you may not see the prompt anymore, but the sync should fix itself.

If the issue still continues after you’ve accepted the terms, you can try renewing your DEP token. Here’s how:

Step 1: Download the new Token from Apple Business Manager

  1. Log in to your Apple Business Manager (ABM) account.
  2. Tap your name at the bottom-left corner and select Preferences.
  3. Under Your MDM Servers, select the Hexnode server and click Download Token.

Step 2: Upload the Token to Hexnode

  1. In your Hexnode console, go to Admin > Apple Business/School Manager > Automated Device Enrollment > Accounts.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to the server name.
  3. On the Edit ADE Account page, click Choose file next to Upload Token and select the token you just downloaded.
  4. Click Save.

Once done, the sync should go through smoothly.

If you need any further assistance or have something to share, please feel free to reach out to us.

Best regards,
George
