Hello all!

Something big is simmering in the Hexnode kitchen, and we can’t wait to give you a taste. We’ve been talking about the “future of management” for a while, and if you’ve been using our Declarative Device Management (DDM) for iOS, you’ve already seen that future in action. But why should mobile devices get all the speed and efficiency?

The secret is out: We’re bringing the power of DDM to macOS!

From Mobile-First to Mac-Sized

DDM isn’t new to us—Hexnode has been leading the charge by handling iOS software updates through DDM payloads for a while now. It’s smarter, it’s lighter, and it lets the device do the heavy lifting.

Now, we’re expanding that same “light-speed” logic to your Mac fleet. For eligible devices, software update preferences will transition to the DDM paradigm. If you’re familiar with how DDM works, you know what this means: faster response times, less server overhead, and a much smoother experience for your end-users.

A Total Transformation in the Works

We aren’t just “adding a feature.” Our engineers are currently under the hood restructuring the entire Patches section to make it the most efficient version of itself. We’re obsessed with the details, making sure that when this rolls out, it feels like pure magic.

What to expect: A leaner, meaner, and more intuitive way to handle macOS patches and updates than ever before.

Stay Tuned! The “magic” is currently being perfected. We recommend keeping a very close eye on our Release Notes section, that’s where the curtain will officially rise.

In the meantime, keep your eyes glued to the What’s Cooking channel. We have plenty more brewing under the Hexnode hood, and you definitely don’t want to miss the next serving!

Best regards,
George
