Custom homepage not loading in Edge Single App Kiosk ModeSolved

Hi all,

I’ve set a custom homepage for Microsoft Edge using a script. However, when Edge is launched in Single App Kiosk Mode, it always opens the default page instead of the configured homepage.

When the kiosk policy is removed and Edge is opened using the same kiosk user account, the correct homepage loads as expected.

Why does Edge ignore the scripted homepage in Single App Kiosk Mode, and is there a way to configure Edge to open the specified homepage while in kiosk mode?

Hey @laura123 ! One thing you could try is locking the device into Kiosk Mode first, then running the script using the Execute Custom Script action. After that, give the device a restart and see if the homepage sticks.

Thanks, @leo_scott ! I tried exactly that—locked the device in Kiosk Mode, ran the script, and restarted the device. Sadly, no luck! Edge still opens to the default page when it’s in Single App Kiosk Mode.

Hey @laura123 ! This actually happens quite often with Single App Kiosk Mode. When Edge runs as a single-app kiosk, it starts up with kiosk-specific settings that override normal homepage or script-based configurations.

If opening a specific homepage is important, you may want to switch to Multi App Kiosk Mode. In that setup, Edge behaves much more like a regular user session, so homepage settings applied via scripts usually work just fine.
