Hey peeps, is it possible to grant the permissions automatically for the Hexnode UEM app during Android enterprise enrollment. There are a bunch of app permissions such as Usage access and Password token and granting permissions for each one of them seems like a hassle. So any ideas on this matter?

Hey @leo_scott , I totally get you. Granting permissions can sometimes be a tough cookie to break. But we’ve got you covered. While setting up the configurations for enrollment, you can pre-set the app configurations for Hexnode UEM app where you can choose which app permissions to be granted automatically on the device without any user intervention.

I’ll walk you through it. In the Hexnode portal, you need to go to Enroll > Platform-Specific > Android > Android Enterprise. And here, as you most probably know, lies the option to configure the almighty Enrollment Profiles. So, go ahead and create a new enrollment profile, or you can also make edits to an existing one. Now, go to App Configurations. Here, you can find all the app permissions that are to be granted for the Hexnode UEM app during device enrollment. And here, simply select the option ‘Auto-enable’ corresponding to the app permissions you want to grant automatically. Or, if you don’t want the permission to be granted by the user then set it to ‘Do not prompt’.
