In this case, running a Scan for Apps action will only refresh the app inventory on the device, it doesn’t trigger an update. That’s why you are still seeing the older version installed.
Since you have uploaded the updated app as a separate app in the Apps tab, it won’t automatically replace the existing version unless it is explicitly deployed to the device.
You can proceed with either of the following:
- Install Application action: Navigate to Manage > Devices > select the device > Actions > Applications > Install Application, choose the updated app, and click Done.
- Required Apps policy: Add the updated app to a Required Apps policy and associate it with the device.
If you would prefer a more seamless update experience moving forward, you can replace the existing APK in the app inventory instead, this allows automatic updates when the app is already distributed via Required Apps policy.
