App catalog InquirySolved

Hi team, I’ve created an App Catalog and associated it with a policy to all my macOS devices. However, on my macOS devices, I can see only one app listed in the Hexnode UEM App.

The policy is correctly associated, and the catalog seems fine. Am I missing anything here?

Hello  @_janet , thanks for reaching out to us!

In Hexnode UEM, App Catalog visibility is platform-specific. This means that macOS devices will only display only the macOS applications added in the App Catalog within the Hexnode UEM console.

If the App Catalog contains only iOS apps, those apps will not be visible on macOS devices, even if the catalog is associated with the Hexnode policy applied to macOS devices.

Regards,
Clara sterling,
Hexnode UEM.

Oh, I see. How do I make sure the rest of the apps show up on macOS

To ensure the macOS apps appear on macOS devices, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Apps > App Catalog in Hexnode portal.
  2. Click +Add app and select macOS platform.
  3. Add the required apps under the macOS platform.
  4. Save the catalog.
  5. Ensure that the App Catalog is associated with the policy.
  6. Also, ensure that the policy is applied to macOS devices or macOS device groups.

Clara sterling,

That makes sense now, I had added only iOS apps to the catalog and assumed they’d show up everywhere.
I’ll add the macOS-specific apps and recheckThanks for the clear explanation!
