Android Enterprise registration failing with Google Workspace domain anyone seen this?Solved

Hey all,

I was trying to set up Android Enterprise enrollment, but we hit a wall while registering with our Google Workspace account. The setup page simply refuses to continue after signing.

We’re using a Google domain for Workspace, so I assumed it would work, but apparently the enrollment keeps looping back without registering anything. Has anybody run into this strange behavior before?

Yeah, this can happen when the domain used for Workspace isn’t recognized as a properly managed domain for Android Enterprise. Google treats Workspace domains a little differently when it comes to enterprise mobility, and sometimes you get stuck in this “sign in and nothing happens” loop.

What usually helps:

  • Sign up directly through the setup link first
  • Remove the work account from the UEM app
  • Re-add the account you registered Android Enterprise with

Basically, Google wants the account used for enrollment to be the same one completing the flow.

Adding to what @mo-chou said, the reason people get stuck here is often domain type. Google Workspace domains can work, but if they’re not configured or verified in the way Android Enterprise expects, the registration quietly fails.

A quick workaround is to use either:

  • a managed domain account that’s already fully verified for enterprise use, or
  • a regular Gmail account to complete the Android Enterprise setup

Both options bypass the domain verification issue entirely and let UEM enrollment proceed normally. After registration succeeds, everything else usually falls into place.
