Hi Team,

We’re facing an issue where multiple Android devices are showing offline in Hexnode, even though they have a stable internet connection. Because of this, policies are not getting associated with the devices. On one affected device, the Hexnode app displays a certificate error. Upon further checking, we noticed a date and time mismatch. The device system date/time is set to 2026, but Hexnode app shows the date as October 30.

Could this mismatch be causing the issue?

Hey @leo_scott , yes, this behavior is expected when there’s a date and time mismatch on the device. Certificate validation depends on accurate system time, and an incorrect date can cause certificate errors, making the device appear offline in the portal.

We recommend enabling automatic date and time on the device and then re-enrolling it in Hexnode.

Additionally, if the affected devices are running older Android versions (Android 5), missing or outdated CA certificates may also lead to similar issues. In such cases, updating the OS (if supported) or re-enrolling the device after an update should help.

Please try these steps and let us know if the issue persists.
