Hey folks,

We’re dealing with an issue right now. A device was wiped without removing Activation Lock, and now, during setup, it’s asking for the activation credentials.

Anyone dealt with this before? What’s the easiest way to get past it?

Hey! Quick check—was the device linked to Apple Business Manager (ABM)?

If it is, you might be able to manage Activation Lock from there.

Yeah, we checked that. It’s not synced with ABM, so that route’s not an option for us.

Hey @richard_hank,

No worries, you should still be able to get past this. If Activation Lock was enabled on the device through Hexnode UEM before the wipe, you can grab the bypass code from the portal.

Here’s where to find it:

  1. Log in to the Hexnode portal.

  1. Go to Manage > Devices > Select the device.

  1. Open the Device Info tab.

  1. Scroll down to the Activation Lock section.

  1. Click the eye icon to reveal the Activation Lock Bypass Code.

Once you have that code, just enter it on the device when it asks during setup. It should let you through.

Best Regards,

Ah, nice, found it!

Tried the code and it worked. The device is all set now. Appreciate the help 🙌.
