Hello @finn ,
You can associate an existing policy to targets in the following ways, depending on how you want to manage it:
- From the Policies list: In the Policies tab, check the box next to your policy and select Manage > Associate Targets. Choose your targets (devices, users, or groups) and click Associate. This is the fastest way to apply a known policy without opening it.
- From inside the policy: If you prefer to review or update the policy settings before assigning, open the policy by clicking its name. Then go to Manage > Modify or Manage > Associate Targets. Both options let you select the required targets and save/associate them. This method is useful when you want to confirm or edit policy settings before applying.

How can I associate a policy to multiple devices or users at once?
You can associate a policy to multiple devices or users in the following two ways:
- From the Manage tab: Navigate to Manage > Devices / Device Groups / Users / User Groups / Directory Services. Select the checkbox for your targets, then click Actions > Policy & Accounts > Associate Policy. A list of policies will open; select the required one and click Associate. This method is ideal when you want to apply a policy across many endpoints simultaneously.
- From the Automate tab: Automate policy deployment by selecting Associate Policy as an action. Define your targets under Target Filters and click Save. This is ideal for event-driven or scheduled associations.
What if I want to do it for just one device or user?
For individual targets, you can associate a policy in different ways depending on requirement:
- From the Manage tab or target details page: Select the device, device group, user, or user group from Manage, or open its details page directly. Then click Actions > Policy & Accounts > Associate Policy, choose the required policy, and click Associate. This is the quickest way when you already know the target.
- From the Policies tab inside target device/user details page: To view existing associations before adding more, go to the Policies tab on the target’s details page. Click Associate Policy, select your new policy from the list, and click Associate. Use this view to ensure you aren’t duplicating or conflicting with active policies.
Hey @simon_scott ,
Can I associate a policy to a target along with its creation?
Yes, you can. After configuring a new policy under the Policies tab, go to Policy Targets, select the required devices, users, groups, domains, or OUs, and click Save. This way, the policy is associated immediately after creation.
