Hey, is it mandatory that the device should be connected to the internet for actions like shutting down or locking device in Hexnode?

@haanaa For remote actions, I think an active internet connection is very much required.

@alice_grey , if so, why is the remote action still stuck in “pending” status for me even though the device is connected to the office Wi-Fi? The Wi-Fi network is working fine, too.

If the Wi-Fi network is functional, maybe the device has some other issues?

Hello @haanaa Any remote action available in the Hexnode UEM console requires an active internet connection. Since your device is connected to the internet, could you please provide the last checked-in time for your device?

@elle_reed , the last check-in time for the device showed 30 mins”even after I initiated the remote action.

@haanaa , The last check-in time showing a past time, instead of now indicates that there is an issue with the communication between the device and the Hexnode server. Please try initiating the Scan device remote action and restarting the device to reestablish communication

@elle_reed , it was indeed the problem of the Wi-Fi connection. Once I switched to a different network, both Scan device and Lock device were successful. Thanks, Moderator!
