To answer your question, no, an Apple Business Manager (ABM) account is not strictly required to enroll iPhones into Hexnode.
Hexnode supports multiple enrollment methods apart from ABM, such as self-enrollment, enrollment via email or SMS, Apple Configurator, and more.
