Unattended remote accessSolved

Hi, I have installed Hexnode as Device Owner on our Android devices using adb shell. The installation works fine, but I’m facing an issue with remote control.

After every device reboot, the accessibility permission for remote control resets, and I have to manually tap “Request Control” again on the device. This defeats the purpose of unattended access.

Has anyone faced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Hello @amelia, thanks for reaching out.

To clarify, have you configured unattended remote access via policy in Hexnode? This policy is required to ensure that remote control access works without manual intervention.

Please confirm if this policy has been applied to the affected devices.

I’m not entirely sure if unattended remote access is configured. I installed Hexnode as device owner via ADB, but I don’t remember setting anything specific for unattended access.

Could you please guide me on how to check this?

Hi,

To verify whether unattended remote access is configured, go to the device’s Summary page and open the Policies subtab. If any policy is applied, it will be listed there.

Click on the applied policy and check whether the unattended remote access setting is enabled within it under Troubleshooting > Remote Access Management.
