I’m trying to enroll a Windows device using the Hexnode installer, but I keep getting a login failure. I’m entering the same credentials I use to log in to the Hexnode dashboard, and they’re definitely correct. Does anyone have a fix for this?

@carter , it’s possible that you haven’t created any user accounts in the Hexnode portal.
@alice_grey , I checked the portal and realized I haven’t created any users under Manage > Users. There’s only the default user, and I don’t even know what credentials it uses.
Do I need to create a new user for Windows enrollment, or am I missing something here?
Hey @carter , the situation you are facing is the expected behavior when you haven’t created a user account for enrollment in the Hexnode portal, as @user2 rightly pointed out. The credentials you use to log in to your Hexnode portal won’t work for authentication during enrollment as Windows device enrollment doesn’t accept Hexnode dashboard (admin) credentials.
To enroll a device, you must use credentials of a user account created in the Hexnode portal under Manage > Users. If no user exists there, the enrollment will fail. So, you’ll need to create a new user manually. Go to Manage > Users, add a user, set the username and password, and then use those credentials during the Windows enrollment process.
Once that’s done, try enrolling the device again. It should work without any issues.
Thanks for the help, @kylian_parker . That worked out.
