Hi everyone, I’m running a fleet of Android devices in Kiosk lockdown mode. Currently, the status bar is completely hidden, so my users can’t see the time, battery percentage, or WiFi signal.

I’ve applied the advanced restrictions policy to these devices, along with Peripheral Settings under Kiosk Lockdown. Does anyone know how to bring the status bar back while staying in Kiosk mode?

@famk_e , I’m having the exact same issue with my tablets. It’s a bit of a headache because users keep letting the batteries die since they can’t see the level.

Hello @famk_e and @annemie . This behavior is typically governed by the configuration of your Kiosk restrictions. To restore visibility to the status bar, please perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Policies tab and select the specific policy currently applied to the affected devices.
  2. Navigate to the platform-specific settings for Android and select Advanced Restrictions.
  3. Under the Display Settings section, check whether Hide System Bar or Hide Status Bar options are checked. If checked, uncheck the options.
  4. Under Kiosk Lockdown, navigate to Peripheral settings.
  5. Ensure that the Disable System bars option is unchecked and the Enable status bar option is checked.
  6. Save the policy to trigger an update across your device fleet.

Once the updated policy is synced, the WiFi, battery, and time indicators will be visible to the end-user.
