Looking for a way to go through policy association status of devicesSolved

Hi everyone,

We recently rolled out some mandatory security policies, and I need a straightforward way to verify which devices currently have these policies applied and which do not. Going through all the devices one by one to check their status is completely unfeasible for my team right now. Is there a way to pull this off for the entire fleet?

Hello,

Welcome to Hexnode Connect!

You can easily verify the policy association status for your entire fleet by utilizing our built-in reporting features. Here is how you can generate and export this data:

  1. Navigate to the Reports tab on your Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Go to Built-in Reports and scroll down to the Policy category.
  3. Select Device Policies.
  4. In filters, choose either Associated or Unassociated under the Policy Association Status filter.

This will help you generate a comprehensive list of all policies, including those associated with at least one device and those not associated with any. To make it easier to share this data, you can export the list by clicking the Export icon at the top right of the screen and downloading the report as either a CSV or PDF file.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

Hey, thanks man.

I generated the report and exported it to a CSV like you mentioned. However, the report shows several devices as Associated, but when I spot-checked a few of those specific devices in the portal, the actual deployment status was still sitting at Pending.

Merely assigning or associating the policy isn’t what I need; I need to know if the policy was actually pushed to the device successfully. Is there a way to generate a bulk report that specifically breaks down Success versus Pending for the actual policy application?

Hi,

Thank you for the clarification. I completely understand your requirement.

Currently, the Device Policies report only fetches the assignment status of a policy (if it is mapped to a device or not). We do not presently have a bulk reporting feature that filters devices based on the real-time execution status (Success vs. Pending) of an applied policy.

To view the detailed execution status of a policy push, you currently have to navigate to Manage > Devices, click on the specific device, and check the Action History sub-tab.

Thank you for understanding. Please reach out if you have any further queries or need any assistance.

Best regards,
George
